6th Experts’ meeting on Enamel on Metal

Following the success of the meetings in Germolles, Rome, New York, Barcelona and London, the next Experts' Meeting on Enamel on Metals Conservation will be held in 2016 at the National Museum in Warsaw. Originally founded in 1862 as the Museum of Fine Arts it is currently one of the oldest art museums in Poland. Its collection numbers around 830 000 works of art from Poland and abroad, from ancient times to the present, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, coins, as well as utilitarian objects and design and enamel collections range from Asian to European decorative artefacts.
There will be approximately 20 speakers including poster presentations from experts from around the globe. The topics, within Enamels on Metals Conservation, range from art historical to scientific research and conservation case studies. Conference language will be English. The meeting is scheduled just before the Interim Meeting of the ICOM-CC Glass & Ceramics WG taking place in Wrocław, Poland from 25 - 29/05/2016.
During the Enamel meeting there will a reception dinner organised for Thursday evening (payable by the attendees) and a free visit of Warsaw on Friday afternoon (see programme here).
